Core Design Advantages
In response to the core demands of limited installation space for automated rotating platforms, high requirements for lightweight design, strict requirements for repeat positioning accuracy, and severe control of end face runout, the design engineers at U-TRSM have specially developed this slew drive, incorporating multiple innovative designs to meet the customer’s operational requirements.
Key structural design
1. Transmission system optimization
Internal gear dual input design: significantly enhances output torque within limited installation space, the dual gear layout simultaneously achieves mechanical backlash elimination, effectively ensuring transmission accuracy.
High precision gear grinding process: gears are ground to grade 6 precision to make the transmission process smoother, and the backlash can be controlled to less than 3′.
2. Load capacity and stability design
Crossed roller structure: significantly enhances the equipment’s axial/ radial load capacity, combined with precision assembly techniques, the axial/ radial clearance is controlled to <0.04mm, with end face runout <0.02mm, ensuring stable operation of the rotating platform.
Mounting surface precision machining: the mounting surface uses grinding process, the surface roughness can reach 0.8μm, which improves the mounting precision and the equipment overall rigidity.
3. Lightweight and durable design
Aluminium alloy housing application: high-strength aluminium alloy is chosen as the housing material, which significantly reduces the overall weight under the same size and achieves the goal of lightweight. The surface is treated by anodic oxidation, which takes into account the aesthetics and corrosion resistance, and prolongs the service life of the equipment.
Gear quick release design: for the gears are easy to wear, we designed a convenient disassembly structure, when the gears are worn or damaged can be quickly replaced, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
