The S-I-O-0229 precision spur gear slewing drives used for industrial automation equipment. The customer uses the servo motors to provide power for the slewing drives, let us match the precision planetary reducers, the tooth backlash on the tooth meshing circle is required to be ≤0.1mm, which means that the clearance and radial runout of the slewing bearing must be very small.
For the precision slewing drives, we generally use slewing bearings with 0 clearance, which can ensure that the outer rings will not move axially and radially due to the force when the slewing drives are working, avoiding the loss of accuracy caused by the clearance of the slewing bearings. In order to ensure tooth backlash ≤0.1mm, the gear rings and pinions must be grinded after tooth quenching, tooth grinding can ensure that the pinions and gear rings have very good tooth runout, which is the prerequisite to ensure tooth backlash.
In the process of communicating with customers, some customers will worry that the accuracy of the planetary reducers is not high enough, which will affect the transmission accuracy, or worry that there is a small matching backlash between the output shaft of the reducer and the slewing drive pinion, which will affect the final transmission accuracy.
In fact, planetary reducers and shaft holes fit will affect the transmission accuracy, but the impact is very small. The planetary reducers connected to the slewing drives and the slewing drives have a certain gear ratio, ranging from 5.4 to 19.6. The error of the planetary reducer needs to be divided by the slewing drive gear ratio, which is the final value of the error caused to the system, and the impact of this calculation is minimal. Therefore, the accuracy of the system mainly depends on the accuracy of the direct transmission unit of the slewing drive.
