Product Details

S-I-O-0311 spur gear slewing drive are precision products used in machine tools. Different from general products, this type of slewing drive devices need to be installed in the opposite direction on the machine tools, that is, the bearing rings of the outer ring rotate downward to drive the customer’s tooling to rotate the workpieces and require high rotation accuracy.

 

According to customer’s needs, the engineers of Unique Transmission recommended this type of S-I-O-0311 slewing drive to customer based on factors such as installation size, slewing accuracy and load, etc.

 

The slewing bearings inside the slewing drive have negative clearance and the teeth are ground. The so-called negative clearance is the interference fit between the rolling elements and the raceway groove of the slewing bearing.

 

Such a fit can ensure that there is no shaking between the inner ring and the outer ring. The detection performance is that the clearance of the slewing drive is zero, slewing bearing with negative clearance runs smoothly without losing slewing accuracy.

 

So how does the negative clearance measure the amount of interference? Generally, in the production process, the interference can be directly calculated by measuring the channel size of the inner ring and the outer ring.

 

The test mainly measures the no-load starting torque (measured without grease and seal installed): If the starting torque is small, the interference is small; if the starting torque is large, the interference is large. If the starting torque is too large, the channel needs to be processed to obtain a suitable amount of interference.
