WDE25 large tilting moment double row crossed roller inner ring rotary slewing drives used in special equipment. The customer requires the slewing drives to withstand the tilting moment greater than 550KN.M. It’s not difficult for us to design slewing drives that can withstand large tilting forces, but what the customer needs is to replace the original old slewing drives.
This requires us to design a type of slewing drives according to our ideas without changing the installation sizes and the use principle of the old slewing drives, and this type of slewing drives should also be able to withstand larger tilting moment.
We have tried to calculate and design several slewing drives, but none of them can meet the customer’s requirements. Because they are used to replace the original slewing drives, we have too many restrictions. Therefore, these situations often occur: the performances of the slewing drives are satisfied, but the installation sizes cannot be satisfied; both can be satisfied, there are bottlenecks in production processes or assembly works, which are difficult to achieve.
After many attempts, repeated revisions and calculations, we finally designed a type of slewing drives that can meet the performance requirements, replace the installation sizes and can realize the processing and assembly. After repeated scrutinies and verifications, we began to start production. Due to the sufficient consideration in the early stage, the processes of processing and assembly and debugging are very smooth. When the final products were presented to the team from drawings to real objects, everyone felt that the previous efforts and hard works were worthwhile.
