1.Slewing bearing parts inspection

Check the appearance for bumps or rust spots. If there are serious bumps, rework treatment, check the shape and size, check whether the workpiece is consistent with the assembly drawing to avoid missing procedures and rework after assembly, carefully check the inner and outer ring raceways to find the soft area, mark the S mark on the corresponding slewing bearing plane, find the grinding matching number, the inner and outer rings with the same number should be placed correspondingly.

 

2.Rust removal

If there are rust spots on the slewing bearing parts, for slight rust, wipe lightly with a scouring pad and a cleaning agent, for severe corrosion (except raceway), use angle grinder to install soft film and polish.

 

3.Removal of burrs and bumps on the slewing bearing.

Pay attention to check whether there are burrs and bumps at the mounting holes, oil holes, chamfers of the inner rings and outer rings and sealing grooves, use a scouring pad or abrasive paper to polish them.

 

4.Plug grinding requirements

Find the small head of the taper pin, take out the taper pin, then use a puller to pull out the plug, polish the edge of the plug to make it free of burrs and sharp places. Thoroughly polish it to prevent abnormal noise of the slewing bearing after assembly.

 

5.Clean slewing bearing

Clean the workpiece, use compressed air to blow off the leftovers (fine iron cutting, grinding) on the inner rings and outer rings of the slewing bearing and in the mounting hole, then use kerosene or diesel to clean the workpiece, then transfer it to the assembly area.

 

6.Install rolling elements in the slewing bearing

Use a wooden block to set up a ring with a plug to make it fixed and non-rotatable, then insert another ring (for larger ring, we suggest lifting them by a crane), make the inner ring and outer ring raceways are in parallel state, load a few rolling elements first, distribute them in a circle to support the ring without plug, then rotate the ring without the plug, install other rolling elements and spacers in the quantity required by the drawing, so that they are evenly distributed in the raceway. Check the remaining gaps in the raceway, adjust the gap with thick or thin spacers, the gap should not be greater than the length of one spacer, to prevent the spacer from falling and causing the slewing ring to become stuck. Then install the plug and taper pin, the two ends of the taper pin should be lower than the plane.

 

7.Inspection

Check all drawing size requirements, check whether the rotation is flexible, whether there is noise, axial clearance, radial clearance, end face runout, tooth runout, inner and outer diameter runout, finished product height, starting torque, etc.

 

8.Fill grease and install seals

After passing the test, install the grease nipple, then inject the grease as required, install the seal and glue the interface, laser mark, finally demagnetization treatment, check the appearance.

 

9.Packaging

Apply anti-rust oil to the finished product, first wrap the first layer with a transparent oil barrier film, then wrap the second layer with kraft paper, then use plastic packaging film or wrap the third layer according to customer requirements, finally label the product and pack it.
