How to reduce the slewing bearing gear noise?
Publish time:2021/10/17 News Views:584
The slewing bearing can stably support the equipment for slewing motion, it is also called the slewing ring. The mechanical equipment needs to be rotated without transmission. The slewing bearing can be made of external gear or internal gear, the slewing bearing can be rotated by gear transmission. In practical applications, the force of the slewing bearing is different, the speed of rotation is also different, the teeth of the slewing bearing are also different. In the gear transmission process, the gear and the slewing bearing gear ring contact will produce noise, so how can we reduce the noise of the slewing bearing? Next, Unique Transmission will share with you their suggestions:
Control the tooth accuracy. Through our long-term practice, we have found that if you want to reduce the tooth noise, the tooth accuracy needs to be controlled at 7-8 grade. The higher the speed, the higher the gear tooth accuracy requirements, such as gears with linear speeds higher than 20m/s, tooth accuracy should be controlled within 7 grades.
Reduce gear start-stop or forward/reverse frequency. Frequent start/stop or forward/reverse rotation will cause the gear to oscillate too fast, the oscillation will produce noise. The faster the oscillation, the greater the noise. Reduce the start-stop or forward/reverse frequency can reduce noise.
Reduce the impact load. The impact load will cause the gear’s oscillation frequency and reverse direction to be different, it will form a circumferential oscillation, which will form a smooth noise, therefore reducing the impact load can reduce the noise.
Reduce the occurrence of resonance. Resonance will produce high-frequency noise. When the motor rotates at a low speed or at a certain speed, the equipment will resonate, causing the gear and gear ring to oscillate at high frequency and large amplitude. The contact between two oscillating objects will produce high-frequency noise can generally be reduced by changing the speed or adjusting the location of the equipment.
Increase the tooth surface roughness. If the tooth surface roughness is very poor, it will cause tooth surface point contact, the noise will be generated when high point contact. Increase the tooth surface roughness, tooth surface line contact, the noise generated will be very small.
Increase tooth surface lubrication. Insufficient lubrication will increase friction, noise will be generated when tooth surface is rubbed. Adequate lubrication can reduce friction and effectively reduce noise.
Through the above introduction, if you encounter gear transmission noise again, you can compare the above points, analyze the reasons yourself, make corresponding treatments to see if there is any improvement, if you can’t improve, please contact Unique Transmission, our engineers will analyze and solve problems with everyone.
