The high precision same direction flange spur gear slew drive (SP-I series) is a slewing drive device that uses pinions to drive the slewing ring with external teeth to achieve rotation. It is also called a spur gear slew drive, which has a certain gear ratio, the conventional gear ratio can achieve 5 to 20.

 

All the slew drives produced by Unique Transmission can bear large load, at the same time can bear axial load, radial load and tilting moment. The spur gear slew drives can be installed horizontally or vertically, which is convenient to use.

 

The principle of high precision same direction flange spur gear slew drive is to use a precision slewing ring with negative clearance. The teeth are grinded after quenching, the gear accuracy can reach 6 grade; use a precision pinion with grinding teeth, the input end size of the pinion is designed according to the customer’s requirements. Using an adapter flange, the interface size of the adapter flange is designed according to customer requirements to facilitate customers to connect to the reducer or hydraulic motor. Using a ductile iron QT450-10 housing, process according to the design, after the processing is completed, the slewing ring, transmission pinion, support bearing and adapter flange are assembled on the housing, install upper seal and assembly work of the spur gear slew drive is complete.

 

High precision of the spur gear slew drive is mainly reflected in the following aspects.

 

1. The slewing ring has high slewing accuracy, the runout of the precision slewing ring is generally controlled within 0.05mm, the tooth runout is generally controlled within 0.05mm and the clearance is generally zero or negative clearance, only in this way can ensure the spur gear slew drive (SP-I series) accuracy.

 

2. The teeth of the pinion have high precision, after the teeth of the pinion are quenched, start grinding teeth process. The dimensional tolerances of the supporting bearings have been demonstrated in practice for many times, forming the Unique Transmission own standard, easy to process, achieving the ideal matching effect after assembly.

 

3. The slew drive housing has high machining accuracy. The slewing drive housings are all processed by machining centers. Associated dimensions are clamped once and completed in one procedure to ensure the accuracy of the dimensions to the greatest extent and provide a good foundation for assembly.

 

The same direction flange means that the slewing drive device is installed on the same side as the slewing drive turntable. The usually designed slew drive reducer, the motor and the turntable are on opposite sides.

 

The conventional design is suitable for the slew drive turntable to be installed at a relatively high position, there is enough space under the slew drive assembly to install the slew drive motor.

 

If there is not enough space under the slew drive assembly to install the slew drive motor, then you need to use the same direction flange spur gear slew drive (SP-I series). Such a slewing drive can be installed at a very low position, even on the ground. Both the motor and turntable are installed upwards, which can effectively reduce the height of the equipment and save the bottom space.
